Workday
Duties Description Hutchings Psychiatric Center is recruiting Licensed Master Social Workers (LMSW) to work at their Outpatient Clinic located in downtown Syracuse. Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply.
As an LMSW working at an HPC’s Outpatient Clinic, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that provides culturally competent and evidence-based treatment and support services in a recovery-oriented environment for adults with mental illness and children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbances including:
• Providing individual and group therapy.
• Coordinating services for children with schools and providing case management to achieve treatment goals.
• Providing counseling and education to individuals, groups, and families.
• Collaborating with community service providers to connect individuals with appropriate programs and services.
Minimum Qualifications Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (NY HELPS) program if they are licensed and currently registered by New York State as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).
OR
Candidates within State Service can be considered transfer to a competitive class position if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
