Duties Description Taughannock Falls State Park in the Finger Lakes Region is seeking a full-time seasonal employee to perform cleaning tasks of facilities. This position will perform the following tasks:
• Assigned to clean facilities that require a high degree of cleanliness.
• Stock cleaning carts with appropriate supplies according to assigned tasks; and prepare, mix, and dilute cleaning solutions following manufacturer directions.
• Scrub and clean campground restrooms, including showers, toilets, sinks, and drains, using hand-operated equipment and cleaning agents.
• Wash floors, entry corridors, hallways, stairwells, walls, partitions, and windows using detergents, mops, microfiber cloths, sponges, brushes, and other cleaning devices.
• Clean and scrub all areas of locker rooms, such as sinks, urinals, toilets, showers, drains, floors, and locker room common areas.
• Perform routine checks of bathrooms throughout the day to ensure cleanliness and supplies are stocked.
• Clean entryway, overhangs, porches, and immediate outside area of restrooms.
• Empty trash, recyclables, and waste, in accordance with cleaning schedule.
• Replace, clean, and/or hang building fixtures and decorative items, such as curtains, blinds, and pictures
• Move and arrange furniture and equipment in connection with cleaning tasks or in preparation for cabin arrivals.
• Replace light bulbs, and dust or wash light fixtures and high places, such as ceilings, using ladders, other appropriate equipment, and tools.
• Polish wood and metal surfaces, fixtures, furniture, and equipment.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment; and notify supervisor of supply levels, equipment malfunction, and/or maintenance issues observed during cleaning.
• May be required to follow specialized disinfectant, waste disposal, and cleanliness standards in performing cleaning tasks; perform routine laundry tasks.
• Wear appropriate protective clothing and other specialized protective equipment as required by the cleaning assignments.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications There are no minimum qualifications per Civil Service.

Additional Comments OPERATIONAL NEEDS:
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license that allows the candidate to legally operate a motor vehicle in New York State as a term and condition of employment.
• Must be physically able to perform medium to heavy physical labor.
• Must have the ability to read and understand instructions, including written materials
